Facing The Challenges Of Entrepreneurialism

Entrepreneurialism is just as popular as different types of business opportunities out there and this often involves a person who has the ability to run and organize a particular business which is commonly known as an entrepreneur. This type of people can be found in almost all of the places that you can imagine and are usually involved in different business industries. They can be in the clothing industry, heating or cooling industry and even in the internet industry. More and more entrepreneurs are using the internet to gain profit from their respective businesses. Anyone can easily become an entrepreneur but not all becomes a good one. Almost all people who are in the business world want to make their businesses into a successful one. But before that happens, there are several challenges that every person must face. These challenges can come from different sources that serve as boundaries of entrepreneurialism like the environment, the financial aspect and yourself. The business environment is known to change every once in a while and these changes are often caused by other people involved in the same environment like the consumers, suppliers and your competitors. Considering that you are not the only entrepreneur that is offering a certain product line in the market, your product must be something that makes it different from the rest. Make sure that your products are exactly the type of products that fits to your target consumers. If it is, then you also have to check on your suppliers regarding your raw materials because there is a need for your ensure that you will be able to meet the market’s demand. But if you are to launch a new product, then you have to assess if the product will be accepted or not. Another challenge that you have to face is the financing. Good business ideas, plans, strategies and other things will all be useless if you do not have funds to bring all these things to reality. You should calculate the funds needed in order to sustain all the expenses before you can actually make profit from your business. But in case of emergencies, you can look for several funding options like loans and other alternatives. And the greatest challenge that you have to face in entrepreneurialism is yourself. There are some things, characteristics, qualities, features or whatever they call it that you have to possess in order to become a good entrepreneur. You may naturally have these things but you may also not. As long as you are determined, focused, eager, disciplined and patient, then you’ll be all set. Remember that being impatient and lazy can really make a business fail. Having the appropriate attitude will not make you successful immediately but it will somehow give you a bigger chance to become successful in your chosen field. These are just some of the challenges that you must face and overcome to achieve your desired goal. Although these challenges are not that easy to handle, you will surely manage to go about overcoming them if you have the guts and spirit to do so. Continue reading

Touch Screen – The Next Step for Outdoor Digital Signage

The digital signage market seems to be in constant flux. New developments, innovations and the reinvigoration of old ideas already exhausted in print media means there is always something happening in the world of Dooh (digital out of home). In the last few years digital signage has gone from primarily indoor locations – the digital posters and kiosks found in shopping centers and retail stores – to being almost as ubiquitous outdoors with digital outdoor signage adorning high streets and digital billboards along highways. Part of this rise to outdoor has come about due to the development of waterproof LCD screens and the prevalence of outdoor LCD enclosures that protect standard hardware in these less than hospitable environments. Indeed, the outdoor digital signage market seems to trail the indoor sector by a few years, so what emerges in our shopping malls, transport hubs and in-stores, inevitably ends up outside. And as touchscreen is the latest beau of the indoor digital signage market it won’t be long before many of the high street digital outdoor signage systems will involve touch screen. While touch screen has gone a long way in recent years, mostly due to its use in the thriving cell-phone and tablet market, it still has difficulty operating efficiently outdoors. There are various different methods of touchscreen technology. Most modern touch screens use resistive or capacitive technology as the touch sensor. In brief, resistive touchscreens rely on pressure form the finger while capacitive touch screen use an electric field over the screen; however, both these methods can struggle in outdoor locations, especially when it is cold or very hot. Furthermore, these systems struggle to work when people are wearing gloves and protecting the face of a touchscreen can be extremely difficult leaving you to compromise between protection and sensitivity. Despite all this there has been a surge in outdoor kiosks and digital outdoor signage screens that implement touch screen technology – bus shelter campaigns with interactive games and adverts have been one example of how they can add a new interactive element to digital signage and now, several companies are producing touchscreen kiosks specifically for outdoor locations. And touchscreen enclosure and digital outdoor signage enclosures that allow touch screen are going to make this technology a lot cheaper and easier to implement in the future. Continue reading

Develop Your Brand to Increase Traffic and Generate Sales by Using the Right Media Mix

Branding not simply about a visual icon connected to your company. It is sad that so many graphic design and advertising firms still adhere to the old ideas of branding, insisting that the logo is the brand and all that matters. I have worked in marketing long enough to recognize a growing trend toward branding that is comprehensive and not just limited to a visual logo stuck to the bottom of a flier. The internet has changed how and where we do business and with that how we market to our potential clients. Gone are the days of using print media as a primary source of advertising. That is not to say there is no place for it but as the internet has opened a truly global market it take more than an advertisement in a local paper to build your brand. Internet shoppers make decisions in seconds and that can determine your success, or failure. While a visually appealing logo, or brand, can draw in your visitors, it can also send them away in confusion. Developing the right media-mix is a vital component to help ensure your brand is not only visually appealing, but recognized and captivating as well. When a prospect sees your logo online, they should be able to instantly associate it with you, your company, your product or service, your customer loyalty, and so on. Your logo, or your brand, must reflect you and your business. Within seconds a potential client should be able to discover what it is you have to offer and give the impression that you know what you are doing and providing services that they want to choose you to deliver. High visibility across several media types and platforms can help achieve the recognition you desire and the traffic you need. However, there is much more involved in branding than good visuals. Particularly in this exploding era of web 2.0. creating a powerful web presence is a vital ingredient of your branding strategy. Develop the right media mix along-side the traditional marketing and branding strategies and you will hold the key to building a powerful brand. A good media mix should include: Creative visual design solutions means using color and content as well as your website to promote your brand and attract customers while generating sales. Incorporating the same colors across all your media helps to solidify an association with your brand. What drink to you think of when you see red? Blue? Color association can help you get your brand noticed. Web development is a no-brainer. A few years ago I creating websites for local businesses. One potential client told me that he thought the web wouldn’t last. That was around 1991. Today his business is closed, and here I sit. He could not compete with other similar businesses that embraced the internet. Hopefully that mentality has gone the way of the 8-track tape, However,if you still don’t think you need a website to compete in today’s market, well, good luck, I hope it works out for you. Viral marketing is simply like it sounds. As with a virus that spreads almost uncontrollably, viral marketing produces recognizable brands. Use of social networking, link-backs, podcasting, blogs, forums, and other online resources will play a vital role in getting you and your brand to the top-level of the search engines. Television commercials and print media advertising, while thought of by many as too traditional, can play a vital part in your campaign. Take a little time and look at that flier you got in the mail, those business cards, that television show or commercial. These traditional media all have a commonality, a website URL and email address. Promotional films such as infomercials can play an important and necessary part in gaining recognition for your brand. Try using your video at a kiosk in a mall to drive traffic to your business website, for example. Corporate video production when used in conjunction with other advertising promotions can help further solidify your brand. The internet is evolving. People want more visual and video content. Use this to your advantage. Direct marketing such as emails or paper and ink advertisements can also impact your brand. You would not want your brand associated with spam, would you. Likewise, you do not want that paper and ink flier ending up in the trash before it is even read. Careful planning can provide good results with direct marketing. Newspaper readership is on the decline but it can still be a good source for inexpensive advertising. Magazine ads have been proven to pull traffic. if your product or service lends itself to such venues, you owe it to yourself to utilize them. Outdoor advertising works. If you have an easy to recognize brand you can use it in outdoor advertising such as billboards. Keep it simple and you may suddenly realize an increase in traffic almost overnight.Once your logo is gaining recognition, placing it on billboards and other signage can help to solidify the brand as well as drive traffic to your website. This creates a cycle and promotes word-of-mouth referrals, the best advertising of all. Some advertising businesses have begun to recognize the need for developing creative design solutions for their clients that involve critical and systematic thinking. By understanding the needs and priorities of your customers, these agencies are in a unique a position to fully utilize all the available media to promote you and solidify your brand. So if you want to develop a brand that insures customer loyalty, you must develop a complete package. Keep your focus on the customer as the prime objective. Organize your marketing around the way people of today discover and purchase products and services. This means using paper and ink as well as real-world visuals in addition to your multi-media internet marketing efforts to build your brand. For over 20 years I have been working and playing online. Pop Vending Machines – A Quick "Dinner And A Movie" Business Idea

If you are looking to increase your pop vending machines business with new machines, or if you are even thinking of starting your new vending business, then in this article we are going to discuss three different types of machines that you can employ. And the best part is, you can even combine the three together for an even bigger effect. This is simply due to the fact that, in any business, up selling is always easier than the initial single purchase. The three types of machines that we are going to discuss are: Soda pop vending machines, DVD kiosks, and Popcorn machines. Soda pop vending machines Soda pop vending machines are one of the most popular machines in existence. There is no worse feeling than thirst and when thirst can be quenched in a matter of seconds by inserting a coin, pushing a button, then you have a winner on your hands. The cold, sparkling refreshment, worth paying a dollar or two for! Many times, a soda machine is supplemented with a snack vending machine. People who are thirsty are often hungry as well. DVD kiosks This is a brand new type of vending. Enabled by the new technologies of cashless vending, there is no change, or dollar bills required, all you do is just swipe the debit or credit card. In return, you get a brand new video you can watch, keep for a couple of days, and then simply return to the same DVD vending machine. The cashless vending enables the relatively expensive DVD discs or Blu Ray discs to be offered with no fear of them being lost. The credit or debit card purchase offers the seller a reliable protection mechanism. Popcorn machines These are the most attractive of all, especially when you come across a nostalgic looking vintage popcorn vending machine. Through the glass window, not only can you see the corn pop, but you can also hear it, and soon, you will be able to taste the warm, buttered delight. Combining the three types of vending When you have an opportunity to combine the soda pop vending with snack vending, and add a DVD kiosk and a popcorn vending to the mix, you have created a quick version of the “dinner and a movie”. There are no restaurant reservations to make and no appointments to keep. Your customers who are always busy and in a hurry can enjoy a tasty snack, a refreshing drink, and a movie with the popcorn. A quick “dinner and a movie” experience for a fast paced world we live in. If any of these vending machines appeals to you, you can find more information at this site: http://popvendingmachine.org . Or, you can start with the information on manufacturers and models of soda vending machines . Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Jason_Stark Continue reading

Broadband Satellite Internet as a Small Business Opputunity

Though DSL and Cable internet connection are ubiquitous is cities, broadband internet connection has not penetrated the rural and far flung areas. That does not mean there is no demand for high speed internet connection in those areas. The only broadband option available in those areas is satellite internet. Cost has been a major factor in the slow acceptance and growth of satellite internet in rural areas. There are two components of broadband satellite internet cost. First the hardware cost, which is the cost of the satellite dish and equipment. This is an upfront cost of around $500. Then the monthly cost of the service from a service provider, which is around $60. The initial cost of satellite internet being so high, it is imaginable that not many consumers can afford to have a broadband connection at home. Demand for high-speed internet connection in far flung areas is driven not only by the residents of that area, but also by visitors who visit those areas for business or for pleasure. Satellite Internet as a Business Opportunity- Satellite internet can be easily adopted by local small businesses as a viable business opportunity in areas with little or no broadband access but with a high outside visitor base. Satellite internet kiosks can be set up with a small investment in camping areas, national parks, ski resorts, gas stations in or around such areas. The investment involved to set up such kiosks will be as follows. Initial Cost 1. Cost of PC $400.00 2. Billing/Time management Software $200 3. Satellite internet Equipment Cost $500.00 Total one time Cost $1100 Monthly Cost 1. Satellite Internet connection $100.00 2. Maintenance $100.00 Total $200 1st Year Total Cost = $1100 + 12 x $200 = $3500. The above cost break up assumes that, internet kiosks will be set up inside already established business locations and there will be no real estate investment required. Revenue Possibility- Internet access can be sold on a per hour basis. If a user/customer can be charged $5 per 30 minutes of high-speed internet access, the kiosk will need to sell only 35 hours of internet access during the 1st year to recover the initial investment and break even. Many locations, like ski areas, national parks, camp sites where city dwellers visit for pleasure will have enough customers willing to spend five dollars to catch up with their work or personal emails, check their voip voice mails, find driving directions or a pay a credit card bill they forgot to pay. With the above cost and revenue possibility break up, it is possible to break even in a couple of months and then enjoy a steady additional stream of revenue after that. Satellite internet connections can be bought from providers like HugesNet, a leading provider of Broadband Satellite internet connections. Get more pricing information on Broadband Satellite internet access at http://www.dsldealsreview.org/hughesnet . Amit is the editor of a DSL/Broadband Reviews website. Touch screen Kiosks – Understanding problems before they happen

In the past 3 years there has been a major shift in business thinking regarding digital signage and the use of interactive kiosks. These touch screen kiosks change the nature in which a business communicates with its customers, with one major pitfall. Many businesses who have existing digital signage adopt interactive signage thinking they can use the original signage campaigns – wrong! The content has to be created around the interactive experience and layered so the company controls the overall messaging whilst the customer controls the specific elements that are relevant to them. Solution. One way to do this is to offer multiple choice experience that guides the consumer along as they discover more about a product or service, they can make comparisons between the products and then when they have made a choice you can inform them that the particular product just happens to be on sale for today only. Benefits. With this approach there are two benefits for the business: A customer who is given targeted information rather than generic information will normally make a purchasing decision. The business is building a detailed profile of its shoppers, their needs and requirements that can be used for other digital signage campaigns. Knowing your foot traffic. Interactive kiosks are a good way to monitor the amount of foot traffic in store, if this tails off over a period of 2 months, you can reinstate old campaigns that pulled customers in, rather than waiting to find the store totally empty. Other ways to monitor foot traffic is to install simple traffic counters these are the beam devices in store that are linked to a counter and every time some breaks the beam the counter increases. A video monitoring system is good as it indicated what areas are popular by the amount of linger time, this is the time they spend looking at a particular range of clothes in the ladies wear department. How Self-Service Technology Adds Service and Convenience to Hotels and Their Guests

Self Service technology is growing. Self-Service kiosks can now be found at many hotels.  Many of these kiosks offer the opportunity to check-in and out of a hotel, print your flight boarding passes, check the status of your flight departure and even check your Facebook account.  Now you can add self-service shipping via FedEx and UPS to the many options available. There is growing trend to make travel easier and hassle free.  Self-service kiosks offer travelers an opportunity for access to 24/7 services, no waiting in lines, and one-stop convenience.  Although some hotels have full-service business centers that offer FedEx and UPS shipping, there are thousands of hotels that do not.  Many travelers want  to avoid carrying extra and over-packed luggage to the airport, especially with all the extra charges from the airlines.  Travelers want to ship business documents, souvenirs and books and materials from their conference meetings.  Sometimes they want to do this at their convenience and they want all the necessary items readily available to do this. Years ago anything “self-service” was considered a “lesser” service.  Well not anymore.  Could you imagine not having access to an ATM and having to go inside a bank and wait in line to get some cash.  Probably not.  You can now find self-service kiosks in grocery stores, banks, movie theaters and many other places.  People even expect it.  In the age of having everything at our fingertips, we are demanding more and more technology to make our lives easier.  Self-service shipping is making travel a little more hassle-free. The Shipping Concierge by Pop Up Shipping offers self-service shipping for hotels.
