New Kiosk Allows 24/7 Returns The Sunnyside branch of the Queens Library unveiled a new self-service book and video check-in kiosk on Tuesday, Dec. 14. Made possible with funding given by Queens Borough President Helen Marshall, the RFID kiosk will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and will allow customers to check library materials in at their convenience and receive a receipt. Customers will be able to avoid late fees and the materials returned can be recirculated to other customers faster. Similar kiosks are already operating at the Maspeth and Broad Channel branches, with more libraries to get them in the coming year.
