are the most commonly used kiosks. Found everywhere from shopping malls, exhibitions, showrooms, town halls, libraries, schools to sport fields.
The goal of these kiosks is to provide a
quality user experience while keeping
implementation as simple as possible as
scope creep is always an issue with this
type of kiosk.
A typical configuration for these kiosks consist of:
- C5, C6, C7, X5, X6 or X10/Q10 kiosk.
- 19", 22", 32" or 42" LCD with a Touch screen Overlay
- Credit card swipe.
- A keyboard + trackball is only used when you want the customers' details, like an email address.
Touch screen input for large amounts of data (like names and street addresses) don't work very well;
Most people are used to keyboards for data entry.
- A secondary overhead monitor can be used for advertisement or marketing messages.
